You'll be in my heart

An oldie, but a goodie. I originally posted about this in October '22 but wanted to be able to share on my blog:

Our passed loved ones signs sometimes can be subtle or it can be hard to decipher if it was them. I have so many clients say they think they are "making it up" "stretching it or too good to be true" or "don't know if it was their loved one for sure". I tell them, that's your intuition and YES that is them. There is a reason you think of them right in that second... if it wasn't them or wasn't a sign, you wouldn't have thought of them. Sometimes it is through an animal, a song, a feather, coins, or just a feeling. The list goes on and on.. there is no limit to what the sign can be.

There are so many ways our loved ones can show up for us. The important part is to be open and to not limit them. They can use their Souls energy in beautiful ways to send you signs that can even go beyond "logical" explanations. I tell clients all the time when dealing with your passed loved one's it is about being open to the energy and how it shows up for you in your life. Especially your emotions... that is the strongest way to "know" it is your loved one's sign. Does it evoke strong emotions in you? -- did the feather/coin/sunset you saw make you stop and think of them and how much you love and miss them? did the song come on randomly and make you tear up? did you get goosebumps while thinking about them?? if the sign evokes strong emotion, you can bet it is from them. Emotions are just energy in motion.. e-motion. Our passed loved ones no longer have their physical bodies but definitely still have the energy of their Soul/Spirit. So the way they will communicate to us now is through energy and emotions.

My paternal and maternal grandparents are all passed. They are my biggest connection and guides on the other side. Often I go for walks, listen to music, and talk to them. You can try this with any of your passed loved ones and they will show up. It is about making the space and the intention. They love to hear about our lives and more importantly love to help us - we just need to ask and communicate!

The other morning I went for a walk. In my own personal life I was dealing with heavy emotions and was talking with them about my sadness. I have depression and it often comes in cycles and waves. This particular day it was affecting me more than usual. One thing I have done to cope is go for these walks and talk with my ancestors. I often go off the sidewalk and go on the nature trails. Since I was talking to them about my heavier and sad emotions, I asked "grandma can you send me a sign that you guys are with me today? I just need something to help my depression and not feel so sad" --I kept walking and talking to them, with open expectations on what sign she'd send to me. A few steps later I look down, and see this leaf. A perfect heart. Red and all.

I stopped and just started crying. They showed up. And I felt the love. While my depression was still there, this helped me to feel surrounded by their love. That is exactly why they sent me the heart. Reminding me of their love. Small and subtle, but there when I look for it. It was exactly what I needed in the moment.

By asking them and then making space and spending time with them... I got a beautiful message from my grandparents. That is the most important part after being open to the message coming in wild subtle ways, making space for it. If we are rushing around.. or "too busy" we miss these "small but BIG" messages. It is an energy exchange. Relationships with the dead are still the same as on Earth. They need to be reciprocal. It takes time, effort, and communication. Same way people say "the phone works both ways"... it is the same with those who are passed.

Often in my readings, your passed loved ones will bring up things you've said to them, your thoughts, or conversations you've just had moments before the reading. They hear us - and more importantly they want us to hear them. All you have to do is ask and be open to receive!
