My Capricorn Season Playlist

Normally I offer these playlists as an option to book - but I have been so busy I haven't offered them in a while. I would send you a personalized playlist of songs. It seems Capricorn season, December 22nd - January 19th, always has me running around trying to do all the things. If you're familiar with astrology, I have prominent Capricorn placements- my Uranus, Neptune, and Midheaven. All of which are deeply connected to our ambitions/dreams, spirituality and my business. The most prominent being my Capricorn midheaven - that placement speaks of your professional success and public image. Capricorn energy is hardworking, driven, and ambitious. It can be very serious and wants to get to the truth of things. One challenge of Capricorn energy is it can be heavy and cause us to be hard on ourselves. This Capricorn affects us whether or not we are Capricorns or have Capricorn placements.

I decided just to make a playlist of the songs that have represented my Capricorn season so far - and share them. I will explain the significance of them or just why I love them. I encourage you to maybe make your own themed playlists, or put together ones that are meaningful to you from your own ancestors or loved ones. Music is one of the biggest ways I connect with Spirit and my own emotions.

- The Middle by Jimmy Eat World

This song was actually channeled from my grandparents, in a session from my healer. She said my ancestors wanted to send me this song as a reminder and to pay attention to the lyrics. It pertained to a lot of what I was going through with my business at the time - and it was my ancestors saying I was alright despite my self doubt. It reminded me a lot of my childhood in the 90's and I got tickets for my brother and I to see them with Fall Out Boy in concert this year. It is now one of the biggest signs from my grandparent's!

- O-o-H Child by The Five Stairsteps

This one reminds me of my dad. My dad and I listen to a lot of oldies music - growing up my friends were always saying "what is this" when I'd play 60s/70s music all the time. But this song always puts me in a good mood and it seems to come on or find me at the most random times. It always reminds me to take a step back and stop taking it all so serious. This Capricorn season especially I have been trying to stay more calm and not be so hard on myself.

- Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine

Short and sweet, this song just makes me wanna belt the lyrics and dance. I am not even quite sure what it is about this song, but I feel it. It has been on repeat lately.

- Too Fast by Sonder

"People say I drive too fast, move too fast, live too fast

Ain't no such thing as too fast for me

Living at the speed of light, like a bullet

I could be dead by the morning

I can't call it

So I ain't got no time, to wait"

These lyrics just always hit me - and Brent is one of my favorite singers. I get told a lot to slow down... that I talk fast literally, do a lot, or when I was younger that I was too much. Now that I'm almost 30, I'm learning there's no such thing as too fast. Life is short.

- Spread Thin by Mariah the Scientist

I just think this song is beautiful. The way she sings the chorus sticks out to me. This song just seems so honest. The lyrics don't necessarily pertain to me, I just love how she sings and her voice. fast forward to 1:50 into the song, that's my favorite part

- My Mind by Yebba

This is similar in the fact I just love Yebba's voice. Again the lyrics don't pertain to me at the moment, but the soul in this song is just so perfect. This is one of my all time favorite songs. Songs that tell stories like this are so beautiful to me.

- Easy by Commodores

I often communicate with my ancestors through music and ask them for specific signs. I was on a walk the other day and put my music on shuffle and asked them for a sign. This song played.

I took it as a sign to slow down.

"Everybody wants me to be what they want me to be

I'm not happy when I try to fake it, no. That's why I'm easy, yeah

I'm easy like Sunday morning"

To me this speaks a lot to my personality and the message to continue to let things be easy. Be myself and do what comes naturally to me.

- Best of You by Foo Fighters

I'm sorry if you don't like this song, you're just wrong. This song is just a staple to have in a playlist. This song makes me think of high school - when it's the height of worrying what people think. Owning this business I constantly worry about what people think or used to be scared of owning my gifts thinking people would think I'm weird - then I have to remind myself - none of that matters. This song reminds me to not let people get to me - whoever they are - and to event not let me get the best of myself.

- I Would've by Jessie Murph

If you don't know Jessie's music yet, please go educate yourself haha. I saw her live this last year and it was the concert I didn't know I needed to go to so bad. She was amazing live. Her music and lyrics are just so real and raw. Just, go listen.

- Lose Control by Teddy Swims

Last but not least, I feel like this song just deserves so much credit. Also if you haven't listen to him sing it with Kelly Clarkson. I feel like this song just depicts what Capricorn season in general can feel like.

You can take this playlist and listen, add to it, or make your own. This Capricorn season though I encourage you to do more things for the fun of it and that truly express yourself. Remember to not take it all so serious
