God has you in His arms, I have you In my heart
Our passed loved ones signs sometimes can be subtle or it can be hard to decipher if it was them. I have so many clients say they think they are "making it up" or "don't know if it was their loved one for sure". I tell them, that's your intuition and YES that is them. There is a reason you think of them right in that second... if it wasn't them or wasn't a sign, you wouldn't have thought of them. Sometimes it is through an animal, a song, a feather, coins, or just a feeling. The list goes on and on.. there is no limit to what the sign can be..
There are so many ways our loved ones can show up for us. The important part is to be open and to not limit them. They can use their Souls energy in beautiful ways to send you signs that can even go beyond "logical" explanations. I tell clients all the time when dealing with your passed loved one's it is about being open to the energy and how it shows up for you in your life. Especially your emotions... that is the strongest way to "know" it is your loved one's sign. Does it evoke strong emotions in you? -- did the feather/coin/sunset you saw make you stop and think of them and how much you love and miss them? did the song come on randomly and make you tear up? did you get goosebumps while thinking about them?? if the sign evokes strong emotion, you can bet it is from them. Emotions are just energy in motion.. e-motion. Our passed loved ones no longer have their physical bodies but definitely still have the energy of their Soul/Spirit. So the way they will communicate to us now is through energy and emotions.
Last week was my maternal grandmother Catherine's birthday. I always take the day off to celebrate her - and do something fun or in memory of her. But daily I also am intentional about the offerings I leave out for her. Often I will set aside time in my morning to pray, meditate, and talk with her. I make her a cup of coffee and set it out as an offering. I then grab my books, Bible, journal, and sometimes my tarot or oracle cards. I will talk to them, out loud - just like she's sitting at the table with me. I talk to her and my other ancestors and guides. Tell them I miss them, love them, ask their guidance/advice, tell them my worries, tell them my joys or things happening in my life. They hear it all - even if you say it in your head. Then I sit and wait to hear or feel their responses. I write down anything or how I'm feeling. You can try this with any of your passed loves and they will show up. It is about making the space and the intention. They love to hear about our lives and more importantly love to help us - we just need to ask and communicate! I was very particular the other morning in setting out items as offerings for her Soul. This is also known as the act of veneration. It helps give them energy and lifts their soul or spirit. So I set out offerings for my grandmother and got a beautiful sign she was with me
My grandmother has been passed for 18 years this February. My mother still has her purse, with the contents, from 2005 - the year she passed. On her birthday each year, I take one of the cigarettes from the purse and burn it for her. My grandmother was a smoker and loved to talk and have a smoke with coffee and her morning routine. She loved this green Fire King coffee cup. Most mornings I set out a cup of coffee for her in it. This morning for her birthday I set it out with the cigarettes from her purse. The ashtray is also one of the many she owned, but she loved the color green -- as a very proud Irish woman.
I set them next to the photo of her holding me the day I was born, and an artwork one of my best friends gave me in memory of her. The saying says "I thought of you today, but that's nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. God has you in His arms, I have you in my heart. " and the pennies are the dates of the year she was born and year she passed. Pennies or "Pennies from Heaven" are another huge sign my grandmother sends me. So it has a lot of sentimental value.
I was going to take a picture to make this to post anyways --- but my grandmother had other ideas for the post. My mouth dropped when I looked back at the photo on my camera roll. Right next to the line "God has you in His arms, I have you in my heart" there is an actual heart in the smoke.
A beautiful sign and message from my grandmother. Even as a medium with this business, this isn't just professional for me, it's very personal. The messages I get from my own ancestors are very special and I love to be able to show what's possible for you with your own loved ones.
That is the most important part after being open to the message coming in wild subtle ways, making space for it. If we are rushing around.. or "too busy" we miss these "small but BIG" messages. It is an energy exchange. Relationships with the dead are still the same as on Earth. They need to be reciprocal. It takes time, effort, and communication. Same way people say "the phone works both ways"... it is the same with those who are passed. Often in my readings, your passed loved ones will bring up things you've said to them, your thoughts, or conversations you've just had moments before the reading. They hear us. So I encourage you to make a cup of coffee.. grab a beer.. or light a cigarette for them is... whatever their favorites were, and sit down and have a talk with your passed loved ones!
